The combination of long and double hanging, adjustable or fixed shelving and variable drawer configurations, can be proportioned to your requirements, and also include a range of options such as: jewellery drawers, shoe shelves, custom width drawers, adjustable shelving etc. Find inspiration for your new wardrobe internals.
Drawer Units
Designing your new built in wardrobe can be a complex task. Drawers play a crucial role in keeping clothes hidden away in a neat and ordered fashion.
One must therefore ask themselves the question of ‘What drawer size is right for me?’
Robes Delivered are proud to offer a range of drawer units to fit inside of your built in wardrobe or walk in wardrobe and will compliment the internals they are part of.
The decision to go with standard 458mm or upgrade to 608mm.
The 458mm drawer units provide a sufficient amount of clothing storage. Generally speaking, this drawer size is suited for most two door sliding wardrobes.
The decision to upgrade to the larger 608mm drawer unit size in your built in wardrobe will also depend largely on the length of your wardrobe. For example:
If you have a built in wardrobe that is 2 metres long with two sliding mirrored doors, the opening on each side of the wardrobe will be approximately 1 metre. If we deduct the 458mm drawer unit from that 1 metre space, there is approximately 500mm left to have either some hanging or shelving. Hence if you upgrade to the 608mm size, the space for hanging next to the drawers will be limited.
Depending on the size and style of your built in wardrobe, different drawer unit sizes will work better. It is crucial that one of our designers measures up your wardrobe space to ensure that the right design is allocated to you.
Sliding Built-in Wardrobe Hanging Rods
Robes Delivered offer four built in wardrobe hanging rod options:
-White Oval Hanging Rods
-Black Oval Hanging Rods
-Silver Oval Hanging Rods
-Gold Oval Hanging Rods
Generally speaking, the White Oval hanging Rod option is offered as a standard feature alongside our standard sliding wardrobes (Mirrors, melamine and frosted glass). However, that isn’t to say that you can’t upgrade to the Silver, Gold or Black Oval option.
Why go either way?
The hanging rods are made from aluminium and are recommended for a span of no more than 1200mm.
The Silver & Black Oval hanging rods are an upgrade and attract an extra cost of $15 per rod length. They also come with steel flanges (supporting the hanging rod) and this gives additional support for heavier clothing loads.
Whether it is a standard wardrobe upgrade or a luxury look you are after, our options will serve the purpose.
Polyurethane Painted Sliding Built-in Wardrobe Doors
1. Choose your door style
The First Step in the design process is to choose your Polyurethane Wardrobe door style. People choose different styles for different reasons. If you have a modern home, a plain polyurethane, v-groove or mirror insert door may be the way to go. Where as traditional homes are better suited with Profiled or Recessed Doors. Have a look at the photos below to get a better idea of what look you’d like for your new Built-in Wardrobe!
In terms of price, the plain polyurethane doors are generally a standard option. Next would be the v-groove style. Thirdly, profiled doors along with the mirrored insert doors. Finally, the shaker style recessed look as these doors require more time to manufacture and also more care must be taken when preparing the doors to be painted in polyurethane.
2. Choose your door layout
You can choose any of the below door designs. This is the design that will be on each hinged door on your Built-in Wardrobe. Sometimes less is more. But some rooms are large enough to have a more detailed door layout that will add a touch of class. Choose either Plain Panel, Single Panel, Mirrored Panel, Double Panel, Three Panel or Four Panel Doors.
3. Choose your paint colour and finish
You have the option of painting your new Sliding Built-in Wardrobe Doors in any Dulux colour. Choose from thousands of colours or go with our standard White.
Being able to choose any colour means you can match your interior walls, doors or architraves. You can visit your local Bunnings to pick up some colour swatches or simply click on the link below to view some of the most popular trending colours.
You will then need to choose what finish you would like your new Sliding Built-in Wardrobe Doors to be painted in. We offer a Matt, Satin, Semi Gloss or Full Gloss finish. Satin is the most popular finish that we recommend for bedrooms as it has a low sheen look and doesn’t reflect light causing glares like the Gloss
All external panels on your wardrobe will be painted in the colour and finish you choose.
We can also supply the doors in a un-painted finish so you can hand paint them yourself!
4. Choose your door handles
The routed side handle option means your handle will be integrated in your sliding door. It is also painted the same colour as the door for a seamless look. These handles are suited for both Modern and Traditional Homes. The standard cut-out size is 150mm but you can specify the size if you are after a different look.
The Front Notch Handles are yet another clean looking handle option. They are located on the front of the door and are also painted the same colour as the rest of your door.
Whether you are building, renovating or just trying to find some extra living space, Sliding door wardrobes will always increase the value of your home.
Our Sliding Built-in Wardrobe tracks can be supplied in the following colours. White, Off-White, Matte Silver, Polished Silver & Black. The tracks are 85mm wide and are made from Aluminium. We also stock triple track systems that are 125mm wide.
